## About the bank

Anorbank is a digital bank in Uzbekistan operating under Central Bank license No. 87; the register entry is in the edition of 15 September 2025. It ranks ninth among large banks in the CERR rating for Q2 2026. What sets it apart is the speed of customer growth: as of 1 September 2026 the number of cards issued since the start of the year had grown by 1.7 million, the second-best result after Uzum Bank, according to UzA. At that point the country had 77.3 million bank cards in total.

## Account for non-residents

Residents get an Anorbank card directly in the app. There are no published terms for non-residents. A Relokant review from August 2026 says foreigners more often have to visit in person, and it names the bank among those that are relatively convenient for Russians. To avoid a wasted trip, prepare a minimum in advance: a passport, a PINFL (personal identification number) and proof of registration.

## Cards and payments

The range of cards is not disclosed on public pages, so check the current list in the app and at a branch. Mir cards do not work in Uzbekistan, and Russian Visa and Mastercard cards are not served either. For payments in the country, a Russian visitor can use local cards or a Russian bank's UnionPay card. The bank does not state SBP (Faster Payments System) connection from Russia.

Since 22 April 2026 banking apps check that the phone number matches the cardholder's PINFL and require biometrics. Without an Uzbek SIM card in your name, the Anorbank app will be hard to use.

## Tariffs and limits

The bank publishes tariffs on its website and in the app, but there is no separate schedule for foreigners. The limits:

  • terms for non-residents are not published;
  • online application is designed for residents;
  • no Russian-language support is stated;
  • the app requires an Uzbek number and a PINFL.

Before visiting, ask whether a card is issued to a foreign citizen, whether registration of a certain length is needed, which cards and currencies are available to non-residents, and whether the app can be used with a phone number registered to someone else.

## Who it suits

  • Those who live in Uzbekistan permanently and want a card arranged through a mobile bank.
  • Those who follow digital services, since the bank is growing fast.
  • Not for short-term visitors who want a card without a SIM card in their own name.

Conditions for non-residents at digital banks change quickly, so check the section for foreign customers on the website and in the app.
