## About the bank

TBC Bank Uzbekistan is a digital bank, the Uzbek arm of Georgia's TBC Bank Group, under Central Bank license No. 86. The payment service Payme belongs to the same ecosystem. In the CERR rating for Q2 2026 the bank ranked first among small banks. According to Spot.uz, payment volume grew 45% in Q2 2026 and the ecosystem reached 5.8 million users. Net profit for the first half fell 23% to USD 15.8 million, and the share of non-performing loans rose to 10.6%. At the end of June the bank had 1.2 million TBC Salom debit cards and 212,000 TBC Osmon credit cards.

## Account for non-residents

The bank's website has no terms for foreigners. The general procedure for a non-resident in Uzbekistan is a passport, a PINFL (personal identification number), registration and a personal visit, but for TBC it should be confirmed directly. A Relokant review from August 2026 includes TBC among the banks considered relatively convenient for Russians, along with Kapitalbank, Ipak Yuli, Anorbank and Uzpromstroybank. The bank publishes no separate rules for Russians.

## Cards and payments

The main products are:

  • TBC Salom, a debit card in soums;
  • TBC Osmon, a credit card available on Mastercard since Q2 2026;
  • TBC UZCARD-UnionPay, a soum card that supports UnionPay.

For Russians the UnionPay card is the most relevant, as it allows payments abroad wherever that network is accepted. Mir cards do not work in Uzbekistan. The bank's app requires an Uzbek phone number matching the owner's PINFL; the anti-fraud rules have applied since 22 April 2026. In the first half of 2026 TBC Bank blocked fraudulent transactions worth UZS 175.5 billion, second in the country after NBU.

## Tariffs and limits

TBC publishes tariffs in the app and on the website. No separate schedule for foreigners is published, so ask support for exact prices. The main limits:

  • terms for foreigners are not disclosed;
  • the card and app are tied to an Uzbek number and a PINFL;
  • credit product terms for foreigners are not published.

## Who it suits

  • Those who live in Uzbekistan, have a PINFL and an Uzbek number, and like mobile banks.
  • Those looking for a soum card with UnionPay from a digital bank.
  • Not for those who need Visa or Mastercard foreign-currency cards with public non-resident tariffs; look at Asia Alliance Bank.

Before applying, ask support three questions: whether a card is issued to a foreigner, whether a PINFL and an Uzbek SIM card in your name are needed, and which fees apply.
