## About the bank

Uzum Bank is the digital bank of the Uzum ecosystem, which also includes Kapitalbank. Its Central Bank license is No. 88 of 20 January 2026, per the register. As of 1 September 2026 the bank had 7.4 million cards, second place after Xalq Bank. Since the start of 2026 the number of cards has grown by 2.3 million, the best growth among banks, according to UzA. Net profit for the first half of 2026 was UZS 258 billion, according to Spot.uz.

## Account for non-residents

The bank does not publish terms for non-residents. The key point is that the app works only if the anti-fraud requirements in force since 22 April 2026 are met: an Uzbek phone number, a PINFL (personal identification number) and biometrics. You can link only your own cards and those of close relatives. A foreigner with someone else's number, or a number not registered to them, may run into difficulties. The bank does not say whether a card can be issued to a foreigner without an Uzbek number, so ask support.

## Cards and payments

The bank issues cards on local networks; see the app for the current list of products. Mir cards do not work in Uzbekistan.

The main reason Russians mention the bank is the SBP (Faster Payments System) transfer. In January 2024 the bank launched sending money from Russia to Uzcard and Humo cards through SBP, with a limit of RUB 115,000 per day. Check in your Russian bank's app whether it still works. For the recipient in Uzbekistan the transfer is convenient because the sender enters a phone number in the Russian bank's app and does not need card details. But the recipient needs an account at Uzum Bank, meaning the app, a PINFL and an Uzbek number in their name. Make the first transfer a small one.

## Tariffs and limits

The bank publishes tariffs in the app and on its website. There are no separate terms for foreigners. The limits:

  • an Uzbek SIM card in your name;
  • a PINFL and biometrics;
  • terms for non-residents are not disclosed;
  • SBP transfers from Russia have to be checked in the app.

## Who it suits

  • Those who live in Uzbekistan permanently and already have a PINFL and a local number.
  • Those who want to use a modern mobile bank.
  • Not for tourists or anyone without a SIM card in their own name; for them, consider Kapitalbank or Asia Alliance Bank.

To check whether SBP works, find the SBP transfer abroad in your Russian bank's app, choose Uzbekistan and see whether Uzum Bank is listed. If it is not, transfer to an Uzcard or Humo card number.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send money from Russia to Uzum Bank via SBP?

In January 2024 the bank launched such transfers to Uzcard and Humo cards, with a limit of RUB 115,000 per day. Check in your Russian bank's app and in Uzum Bank itself whether the feature works today.

Where does the bank rank by number of cards?

Second, with 7.4 million cards as of 1 September 2026. Only Xalq Bank has more (12.2 million). Agrobank is third with 6.8 million.
